Sophia is an IBM client executive working with C-level executives across diverse companies in the general business large enterprise space to solve business challenges through innovative technology solutions that position clients for growth and transformation.
Previously, Sophia led thought leadership for IBM Business Process Management (BPM), where the convergence of business process and social technology along with a shift in business user responsibilities and globally integrated teams have opened the doors to opportunities for innovation and enhanced productivity. Sophia was the IBM WebSphere focal point for the Middle East and Africa, driving marketing and sales interlock activities across the region. In a prior role, Sophia worked on a cross-functional IBM team to develop an emerging markets strategy, analyzing IBM’s revenues, resources, and market opportunities to make recommendations on resource investments and local go-to-market tactics.
Sophia has an engineering degree from Harvard University, where she funded her education through ten merit scholarships and working part-time at technology startups. She has lived, studied, and worked in the United States, Latin America and Europe. Sophia holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler, where she participated in the Dean’s Fellow Program with a Forté Fellowship. Sophia is a 2012 Impact Center Women’s Leadership Fellow.
